Actress Kangana Ranaut made her grand debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year.
The actress who walked the red carpet twice chose two vastly different looks.
For her Cannes debut the actress opted for a Zuhair Murad sheer embroidered gown. Minimal accessories, hair bun and nude make-up rounded off her look.
For her second outing, the ‘Queen’ actress chose a much bolder look. At the premiere of ‘Ash Is The Purest White (Jiang Hu Er Nv)’ the actress silver embroidered catsuit. While few hailed the actress from the bold look, few critics felt the actress failed to carry off the look with panache.
Earlier, at the Indian Pavilion earlier, Kangana opted for a black Sabyasachi saree with white pearl jewellery. The actress channelled the retro with a glamorous Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s inspired look.
Kangana had shared her excitement about being a part of the prestigious Film Festival in an interview earlier.
She had talked about her red-carpet looks and had said, “The essence has become expression oriented — the focus is indeed on what you wear and speak and how you conduct yourself at events and discussions. I will put my best foot forward for the festival. We have an international stylist on board and apart from international looks; I will also wear something Indian on the red carpet since I am representing my country. However, focussing only on fashion at Cannes reduces its scope dramatically. It’s the same with artistes when they are reduced to a glossy image and not seen as people with their own kind of potential. Cannes is a lot more than a mere red carpet event."
Kangana was at the Cannes Film Festival on behalf of Grey Goose India.
