Few months ago, it was announced that Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are all set to reunite on big-screen for Ekta Kapoor’s next movie.

Then it was reported that the movie has been titled ‘Shotgun Shaadi’ tentatively. However, according to a DNA report, the flick will now be called 'Jabariya Jodi' which means a forced couple.

According to the DNA source, "The movie is based on pakadwa vivaah, the makers felt that this was an apt name. In Bhojpuri, jabariya means zabardasti, so the title refers to a couple who is forced to get married. The two actors have also shot for the posters before leaving for Lucknow, so they should be out soon."

It is reported that the title was suggested by Sidharth Malhotra himself.

“He came across this word during the readings and told the team about it. They liked it instantly,” the source said.

About Balaji Telefilms backing the movie, Sidharth told the publication, "Balaji will always be special because, till date, my biggest film (Ek Villain, 2014) is with Ekta. That’s why the thought of calling her up about this script earlier this year was obvious. She’s good at presenting and marketing a film. We have had great energies which have worked for us in Ek Villain and we are going to amplify it further with this movie."

Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra have earlier shared screen space in ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’.

Sidharth also said that it is an exciting movie for him and Pari to come back together as an onscreen couple.

Sidharth will be seen playing a Bihari tug in the movie.

Sidharth had earlier confirmed that the movie will go on floors in Lucknow and that the movie is a love story based on the groom kidnapping concept.
