Actress Anushka Sharma has reunited with her ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif for her upcoming movie ‘Zero’.
‘Zero’ is the story of Bauua, a vertically challenged man played by Shah Rukh. Anushka plays the role of a scientist named Aafia, who has celebral palsy and Katrina plays the role of a Bollywood actress named Babita Kumari in the film.
The trailer of the movie released recently and garnered positive reaction from the audience. Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s characters have been especially appreciated for bringing something new on big-screen.
In an interview with DNA, Anushka Sharma revealed that Katrina Kaif wanted to play her role in the movie.
"I was interested in this part since the time I heard the narration. Yes, Katrina would often tell Aanand sir and me that she wanted to essay this role. It was extremely challenging for me to play Aafia. It’s interesting because you see the spirit of her character, which is so amazing. And, of course, it also inspired me to push the envelope as an actor," said Anushka Sharma.
Yesterday, the makers of the movie released a new song called Issaqbaazi from the film which featured SRK and Salman Khan. Both the actors are obsessing over Katrina Kaif's character in the film and why they deserve her. The song has become an instant hit.
The movie also stars plethora of special appearances from stars like Sridevi, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Karisma Kapoor making a cameo. The movie will also see Abhay Deol and R Madhavan in special appearances.
‘Zero’ will be released during the Christmas season on December 21.
