Actress Kangana Ranaut has been in news lately for slamming different Bollywood celebrities. The actress recently spoke out against Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt for not taking a stand on important issues.

At a recently concluded Manikarnika's success bash, Kangana told media, "I was watching Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's interview where they said, 'Why should we speak about politics? We haven't done anything.' It doesn't work like that. You have to be responsible."

The actress also slammed Ranbir Kapoor by saying, "Ranbir Kapoor was telling somebody, 'Mere ghar mei toh bijli, paani aata hai (My house gets electricity and water). Why should I (care about) politics?' You have this house because of this country. It's the money of the citizens with which you buy a Mercedes. How can you talk like that? This is irresponsible."

Last night, at an event, when Alia was asked about these statements of Kangana, she replied subtly, "Listen, I definitely don't have the ability to speak as candidly as Kangana does and I really really respect her for that. And maybe in a way she is right that sometimes we do hold back. Kyunki hum nahi chahte ke, khamakha kyun bolna... My dad always says that there are already so many opinions in the world that the world could do with one less opinion. So, I have an opinion but I will keep it to myself. But kudos to her because she genuinely speaks really well."

Earlier too Kangana had criticized Alia Bhatt heavily for not turning up for the screening of her movie ‘Manikarnika’. The actress had said while she has always supported Alia and attended very event that she was invited to, Alia has never reciprocated the same.

To which Alia replied, "I didn’t do anything to get a reaction like this."

On the work front, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in seen in Abhishek Varman's period-drama titled ‘Kalank’. In the film, she will be starring alongside Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. The Karan Johar production is slated to release on April 19, 2019.

On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in ‘Mental Hai Kya’, also starring Rajkummar Rao. Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, the movie will release on May 24th.
