South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh is all set to make her Bollywood debut. The actress will star opposite Ajay Devgn in ‘Badhaai Ho’ director Amit Sharma’s upcoming venture.
According to the reports, the movie will be based on the life of footballer Syed Abdul Rahim. The movie will chronicle the Indian football team’s glory from 1950 to 1963.
Ajay Devgn will essay the role of footballer Syed Abdul Rahim, while Keerthy Suresh will play Rahim’s wife.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about it. He wrote: “IT’S OFFICIAL... Keerthy Suresh - a leading name in South Indian films - to make her Hindi film debut opposite Ajay Devgn... #BadhaaiHo director Amit Sharma will direct... Produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta.”
Speaking about working with Ajay, Keerthy had said, "Ajay Devgn is one of the most talented superstars that we have in our country. I have seen a lot of his films and it is an honour for me to share screen space with an actor of his calibre," she said.
As for making her debut in Bollywood, the actor had said, “ I am elated and honoured to be a part of such a great story. I believe this is a story that doesn't belong to any specific region or language of India but is a great story that the world should be aware of.”
Keerthy Suresh is one of South’s most sought after actress. Her movie ‘Mahanati’ was a huge commercial and critical success.
The biopic will go on the floors in June.
