The clash between Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Super 30’ and Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Mental Hai Kya’ has been averted but the war of words between them refuses to die down.

A day after Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel unleashed an attack on Hrithik Roshan and his PR team, Hrithik took to Twitter to announce that he would be postponing the release of his movie to save himself from 'personal trauma and toxic mental violence'. He posted a detailed note about pushing the release date of his film ‘Super 30’.

Now, Kangana Ranaut has responded to the note and called it a ‘sob story’.

Kangana said in the statement, “Hrithik Roshan, Madhu Mantena and Ekta Kapoor had collectively decided that Hrithik would push Super 30’s release date and Ekta will bring her film MHK on 26th July, they had taken this call last week itself, I don’t know why he wrote this sob story but I am glad MHK getting a solo release, I salute my producer Ekta Kapoor for making her way in this male dominated industry, its not easy to do what she does.... I applaud her courage and power.”

Initially, ‘Mental Hai Kya’ was supposed to release on June 21 but was recently postponed to July 26. Soon after ‘Mental Hai Kya's’ new release date was dropped, speculation was rife that the shift in the release date was intentional.

In retaliation, Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel publicly slammed Hrithik on Twitter for allegedly propagating such false news. She clarified that Kangana was never in favour of releasing MHK on July 26 and that it was producer Ekta Kapoor's decision.

On Tuesday, Balaji Motion Pictures, in their official Twitter handle, wrote a statement clarifying the reason behind Mental Hai Kya releasing on July 26. The post said: "The shift in the release date is a decision taken after recommendations from the distributors, trade analysts and a top research team, keeping in mind the other releases a week before and after this date. We have thus been advised to shift the release of our movie to July 26, purely for business prospects."

The post also elaborated on the clash of the film and said: "On knowing that there is already a movie scheduled for a release on that date, we did everything in our purview to ensure the other parties that there will be no mud-slinging and it will be a dignified release. We stand by assuring that to all other parties. This is a call taken by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms considering better prospects for the movie at the box office."

Ekta Kapoor too took to Twitter to clarify that the decision was solely hers.

“My decision my film.....so all brickbats directed to me pls! I’m my own person !!!” she tweeted along with the statement below.

Hrithik shared the below note announcing the postponement of his movie.

Earlier too, Hrithik had postponed 'Super 30' to avoid clash with Kangana's 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' in January. The new release of 'Super 30' is yet to be announced.

‘Mental Hai Kya’ is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and also stars Rajkummar Rao.

On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan's ‘Super 30’ is based on the life of a mathematician Anand Kumar, who coached students from the backward sections of society to crack the elite IITs.
