Aamir Khan is currently busy with the movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The movie is a Hindi adaptation of 1994 Hollywood film, Forrest Gump which starred Tom Hanks in the titular role.

Today, the actor took to his social media pages to share the very first teaser of his much anticipated movie. Aamir captioned the video with the lyrics from the song. “Kya pata hum mein hai kahani, ya hai kahaani mein hum...”

In the video, we see the blue sky and a quill writing 'Aamir Khan in & as Laal Singh Chaddha'.

The music for the film will be composed by Pritam, according to the credits, and the lyrics are by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

In addition to this information, the credits also reveal that Paramount Pictures, the studio that produced Forrest Gump, will be involved in some capacity. The film will be distributed by Paramount’s parent company, Viacom.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is directed by Advait Chandan of Secret Superstar fame and is adapted by actor Atul Kulkarni in Hindi.

In an interview to Hindustan Times, Aamir had shared a few details about the character.

“Atul Kulkarni has done the adaptation and he has made him a Sardaar (sikh guy), that’s why I’m growing my beard. So far, I’m happy with the script; we start shooting on November 1. Hopefully we’d be able to execute it well,” he’d said. “This character is very lovable. He’s so innocent… he has got this different way of looking at things. He’s someone you immediately empathize with when you connect. Unless I perform it badly (laughs), then it’s a different game. As a written character, it’s such that you’d fall in love with him straightaway,” he said.

‘Lal Singh Chadha’ will star Aamir Khan and will be co-produced by him, under his banner Aamir Khan Films, alongside Viacom’s India film unit. The movie will star Kareena Kapoor Khan as the female lead.

The movie will be directed by Advait Chandan, whose last movie ‘Secret Superstar’ was a critical and commercial success.

The movie will trace important events in Indian history from the 70’s beginning with Indo-Pak war.

‘Lal Singh Chadha’ is the official remake of 1994 released ‘Forrest Gump’, directed by Robert Zemeckis, was loosely based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The novel spanned several decades in the life of its titular character, a kind-hearted, intellectually impaired man who witnesses and (unwittingly) influences several major historical events of 20th century America.

For his portrayal of Forrest, Tom Hanks won the Academy Award. The movie also won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Visual Effects, and Best Film Editing.
