The trailer of Deepika Padukone’s upcoming movie ‘Chhapaak’, which was released yesterday, has received accolades from every quarter. But something that came as a big surprise is that Kangana Ranaut’s sister and Deepika Padukone’s long-time critic, Rangoli Chandel has also showered the trailer with high praise.

Rangoli Chandel, who herself is a acid attack survivor, lauded the trailer and stated that this movie is a must watch for everyone.

“Wow!!! Everyone should see this film, amazing,” she wrote.

“Meghna and Deepika will earn a lot of tears from this film, what my family and I went through along with the prejudice we faced was worse than death... story of an acid attack survivor need to reach this nation, praying that it works,” she added in another tweet.

When the film’s poster was released in March this year, Rangoli had tweeted about being the film’s biggest cheerleader then, as well. “No matter how unfair and unjust the world is we musn’t reflect what we hate, this is commendable on @deepikapadukone and @meghnagulzar part, being an acid attack survivor I pledge to be their biggest cheerleader #Chhapaak,” she had written.

Even Deepika while talking about the trailer launch event today, broke down in tears and said, "Rarely do you come across a story where you have to sit through an entire narration, usually you have to sit the entire process and then think whether you want to do a film or not. It's not often when you come across a story where you know instantly in the first few minutes after meeting a director that this is what you want to commit your life to and Chhapaak is that for me."

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, ‘Chhapaak’ also stars Vikrant Massey.

The film is all set to release on January 10th 2020.
