Nearly 2 years ago, director Luv Ranjan had announced that he would be making a movie starring Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. Due to various reasons the movie kept getting postponed. And Ajay Devgn finally decided to walk out of the movie. Later reports emerged that the movie was shelved and the director would be working on a completely different movie with Ranbir Kapoor.
But today, the filmmaker denied the reports that the movie has been shelved.
“It hasn’t been shelved. The work is going on. There will be a proper announcement... That’s when I will talk about it,” said the director during the trailer launch of Sunny Singh’s upcoming movie ‘Jai Mummy Di’, which he produces.
Luv Ranjan rose to fame with his comedy movies such as ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’. His movie ‘Sonu Ke Tittu Ki Sweety’, starring Karthik Aaryan, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha, went on to gross over 100 Crores at the box-office.
Meanwhile, ‘Jai Mummy Di’ is directed by Navjot Gulati. The movie also stars Sonnalli Seygall, Supriya Pathak and Poonam Dhillon.
‘Jai Mummy Di’ will release on 17 January 2020.
