A few days ago, it was reported that Varun Dhawan, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani would star in Shashank Khaitan’s next movie.

The film will be produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions.

Talking about the film, a source told Mumbai Mirror, "After contemplating several options, Shashank and KJo finalised the trio. They liked the script and were immediately on board."

Earlier it was reported that movie might be titled ‘Rannbhoomi’ but now we have learnt that the movie will be titled ‘Mr Lele’.

"After contemplating several options, the makers have zeroed in on Mr Lele as it suits the story best," the source said.

The source went on to say that the movie is likely to go on floors late February or early March in Mumbai.

Last year, Karan Johar tweeted about the same stating, "So proud to announce #RANNBHOOMI ... @ShashankKhaitan and @Varun_dvn take a giant leap in their third offering together! A solid spectacle with a beating heart!!! DIWALI 2020 release! Remaining lead cast to be announced soon! @DharmaMovies @apoorvamehta18".

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan will next be seen in India’s first 3D dance movie ‘Street Dancer’. Along with that he will also be seen in David Dhawan's Coolie No 1 alongside Sara Ali Khan. He is also reuniting with his ‘Badlapur’ director Sriram Raghavan for a biopic on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal who was martyred during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

On the other hand, Bhumi was last seen in the remake of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’. She will next be seen in ‘Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship’ and ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare’.

While Kiara has ‘Good Newwz’ with Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is directed by debutant Raj Mehta and is slated to release on December 27, 2019.
